This policy explains how personal information is handled through Tyler Waugh's personal website, tylerwaugh.com.au. Tyler is the contact for privacy matters about this site. SEO enquiries are handled in connection with his role at EarlyBird; recruitment, networking and other professional correspondence can be sent directly to his personal professional inbox.

Information collected

• Enquiries: the form requires your first name, email address and industry or niche. Your website, message, how you heard about Tyler and selected plan are optional. Follow-up correspondence may contain further information you choose to share.
• Professional correspondence: emailing Tyler shares your email address, message and any other information or attachments you choose to provide.
• Website requests: hosting and security services process technical information such as IP address, requested URL, access time, browser information and response status. Operational logs help diagnose failures and protect the site.
• Usage measurement: Google Analytics, delivered through Google Tag Manager on the public domain, can collect pages visited, referral information, interactions, device/browser information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. These identifiers can distinguish visits or browsers; this information should not be treated as wholly anonymous.
• Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA v3 processes browser, device and interaction signals when it loads as you interact with the form. It returns a token and risk assessment used to validate submissions.

Please avoid including sensitive information or information about other people unless needed for your enquiry and you are entitled to share it. You can browse without supplying contact details, but a name and reply address are needed to respond to an enquiry.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, discuss services or professional opportunities, manage correspondence, improve the website, investigate technical problems and prevent spam or abuse. It may also be used where needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Sending the form does not subscribe you to a newsletter or enter you into a service agreement.

The form sends its contents when you submit it. The optional browser-assistant feature can pre-fill fields for your review; it does not submit them. A successful submission generates an analytics event containing the event name and form identifier, without adding your name, email, website or message to that event.

Who receives information

SEO enquiries are delivered to Tyler by email and may be shared with relevant EarlyBird colleagues to respond or arrange services. The professional-contact “Email Tyler” link opens an email to tyler@tylerwaugh.com.au; the footer and SEO contact alternatives use the EarlyBird address. Correspondence is also processed by the email services used by sender and recipient.

• Cloudflare: hosts the site, processes requests, provides operational logging and uses IP addresses to limit repeated submissions. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Resend: processes submitted enquiry fields and delivers the notification email. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Google: provides Tag Manager, Analytics and reCAPTCHA. See Google's privacy policy and terms.

Information is not sold or rented. Disclosure may also occur where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect rights or resolve a dispute.

These providers operate internationally, so processing and storage may occur outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Cookies, local storage and your choices

The site saves your light or dark theme in your browser's local storage under “tyler-theme”, until you change it or clear site data. Google Analytics uses cookies to recognise browsers and measure visits. Tag Manager loads measurement tags; those tags determine the cookies and data collected. reCAPTCHA sets a security cookie when it runs.

On the public domain, the site's Tag Manager loader runs after an interaction or a short delay; that delay is not a request for consent. This loader is disabled on review-preview domains. You can control cookies, scripts and stored site data through your browser, and Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Blocking scripts or security cookies may prevent the form from passing its spam check. You can still read the site and email Tyler directly. Clearing site data also removes your saved theme preference.

Security and retention

The site uses HTTPS, server-side input validation, spam checks and rate limiting. The form handler does not maintain a separate enquiry database: submitted details pass through the delivery service into the recipient inbox. The handler's own error messages do not log form contents. Hosting and email providers maintain their own operational records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Enquiry and correspondence records are kept as needed to respond, manage the relationship and meet applicable legal or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention varies by record type; there is no single fixed period for all information. Provider logs, email records, backups and Analytics records follow their respective settings and requirements. Contact Tyler to ask about a particular record or request deletion; some information may need to be retained for lawful reasons.

Access, correction and complaints

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, email tyler@tylerwaugh.com.au. Include enough detail to identify the enquiry and your request. Tyler may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information, and will explain any restriction on fulfilling a request.

Privacy concerns can be sent to the same address. Tyler will review the concern and respond within a reasonable period, aiming for 30 days, or explain if more time is needed. If you remain dissatisfied, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner provides information about complaints and whether it can consider your matter.

Other websites and policy changes

Links to LinkedIn, EarlyBird, StudioHawk and other sites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This website is intended for business and professional use, and does not request information from children. Contact Tyler if a child has supplied information that should be removed.
